MAKE A TEEN HAPPY
55 Sponsors provided winter costs, boots,  and additional gifts for 146 Teenagers
this year setting a new record of teen participants in our “Make a Teen Happy” Holiday Program!


  A special thanks to those of you who continue to sponsor year after year!
Hats off to IFAW who sponsors 30 teens each year!!

 

“Cape Cod Toys for Tots”
provided the gifts for us to distribute to the parents of
 240 children from the Town of Barnstable.

 

Safe Harbor Shelter
had their annual Christmas Party for 20 families that included 35 children
on Friday December 21st with dinner and a visit by Santa Claus.

Santa presented each child with a gift. It was a fun evening for all!

 

Over 200 families in need participated in
Community Action Committee’s December Holiday Programs!!

DESPITE FEDERAL CHANGES, MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS AGE 18
AND OLDER ARE STILL REQUIRED TO HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE
OR FACE A STATE TAX PENALTY.


You may have heard the federal requirement to have health insurance, called
the individual mandate, was repealed starting in 2019, but Massachusetts requirement
to have coverage will still be in place.

Help is available….

  •  If you are newly eligible for ConnectorCare Plans (subsidized public health insurance), or qualify for a Special Enrollment Period with a Qualifying Life Event, you can enroll at any time within 60 days of the event.
  • You can apply and enroll in MassHealth at any time during the year
  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR NON US CITIZENS

If you are a non-citizen you may be eligible for MassHealth Standard (if pregnant),
Limited, Childrens Medical Security Plan (CMSP), Health Safety Net (HSN)
or Health Connector Plans.
