What Households Need to Do!
Households will need to complete the Annual Eligibility Renewal to find
out if members of the household can still get coverage through MassHealth.

MassHealth will continue your household’s current coverage for up to 45 days from the date
of the letter while they wait for you to renew your information. Once they process your completed
renewal application, MassHealth will send you another letter to let you know if you and members of your
household still qualify for health coverage through MassHealth, CMSP, or the HSN.

If you receive a letter and need assistance OR if you need to apply for insurance, call or visit

You May Qualify for Help Paying for Coverage Through

patient and nurse

If you think you qualify for a subsidy, you can apply at any time, even outside the open enrollment period.
For those who do not need financial  assistance to pay for health insurance, there are some conditions, known
as qualifying events, that allow people to apply for insurance, such as having a new baby
or experiencing a change in your employer-sponsored insurance.

Financial subsidy is based on income, and generally anyone who makes less than 400 percent
of the Federal Poverty Level is eligible for subsidy. That means anyone making less than
$45,960 a year, or a family of four earning $94,200, can qualify for subsidies.
